Delighted to receive James Hogg’s Confessions of a Justified Sinner. It’s new to me, though I’ve always considered myself reasonably well read in 19th-Century British lit (for a Yank) – but clearly not sufficiently well read in Scottish lit. Looking forward to steeping myself in evil!
